<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marking the auspicious occasion of the Sawan festival, <strong>Arpita Mahila Mandal</strong>, the women’s welfare wing associated with <strong>Central Coalfields Limited (CCL)</strong>, organized a social service and public welfare programme for contract workers in Jawahar Nagar. The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Arpita Mahila Mandal President <strong>Mrs. Preeti Singh</strong>, with active participation from Mahila Mandal members of Ranchi, Rajhara, Barkakana, and Giridih areas.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As part of the programme, <strong>40 trolley bags and food packets</strong> were distributed among contract labourers to support their daily needs and acknowledge their hard work, dedication, and contribution to society.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Members from the Arpita Mahila Mandal units of Ranchi, Rajhara, Barkakana, and Giridih worked together to ensure the smooth and orderly distribution of the welfare materials, reflecting a strong spirit of teamwork and community engagement.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking on the occasion, <strong>Mrs. Preeti Singh</strong>, President of Arpita Mahila Mandal, emphasized that respecting and supporting the working class is a moral responsibility of every citizen. She reaffirmed the organization&#8217;s commitment to continuing its public welfare initiatives through various socially beneficial activities in the future.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marking the observance of World Blood Donor Day, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organised a mega blood donation camp on June 14, 2026, at the Blood Centre of Gandhi Nagar Hospital, Ranchi. The initiative aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about the importance of timely blood availability for patients in need.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The camp was inaugurated by CCL Director (Human Resources) <strong>Harsh Nath Mishra</strong>. Senior officials present on the occasion included Director (Technical/Operations) <strong>Chandra Shekhar Tiwari</strong>, Director (Planning &amp; Projects) <strong>Anup Hanjura</strong>, Chief Vigilance Officer <strong>Pankaj Kumar</strong>, and Arpita Mahila Mandal President <strong>Preeti Singh</strong>, along with several other officers and employees.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the programme, the dignitaries and participants took a pledge to support and promote voluntary blood donation initiatives in the future. They emphasized the need to inspire more individuals to become regular blood donors so that patients requiring blood can receive timely assistance.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The blood donation camp was organised by the Blood Centre at Gandhi Nagar Hospital under the guidance of <strong>Dr. Raj Kumar</strong>, Chief Medical Officer (In-charge), CCL, and <strong>Dr. Bharat Singh</strong>, Chief Medical Officer (In-charge), Gandhi Nagar Hospital.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A total of <strong>50 units of blood</strong> were collected during the camp. Among the donors were <strong>44 men and 6 women</strong>, who voluntarily contributed to the noble cause of saving lives. Female blood donors and individuals who actively promoted blood donation awareness were also felicitated during the event.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The successful conduct of the camp was supported by the dedicated efforts of <strong>Dr. Anita Kumari</strong>, Head of Department (Pathology), <strong>Dr. Khushboo Saran</strong>, <strong>Dr. Srimoyee Mukherjee</strong>, <strong>Dr. Mohana Mandal</strong>, along with the technicians and support staff of the Blood Centre.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">CCL said the initiative reflects its commitment to social responsibility and public health by encouraging voluntary blood donation and fostering a spirit of humanitarian service within society.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Demonstrating its continued commitment to social welfare and community upliftment, Arpita Mahila Mandal organized a special marriage assistance programme for needy daughters and brides at the Sangam Auditorium of the Gangotri Convention Centre, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) Headquarters, Ranchi, on Friday.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The programme was conducted under the guidance of <strong>Mrs. Preeti Singh, President of Arpita Mahila Mandal</strong>, with the objective of supporting economically weaker families and helping young women embark on a new phase of life with dignity and confidence.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As part of the initiative, marriage aid materials were distributed to <strong>16 beneficiaries</strong>, including <strong>15 daughter-brides selected from various CCL operational areas</strong> and <strong>one beneficiary from the CCL Headquarters</strong>. The beneficiaries received essential household and wedding-related items, including a wardrobe, air bag, saree, scarf, towel, wedding bag, and fruit basket.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In addition to the material assistance, financial support was also provided to each beneficiary. Mrs. Preeti Singh further extended additional cash assistance as a gesture of affection and blessings for the daughters entering married life.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The successful organization of the programme was supported by <strong>Mrs. Rita Tiwari, Mrs. Rupa Rani, Mrs. Rita Mishra, and Mrs. Neeru Hanjura</strong>, along with the cooperation of regional General Managers and officials from the CCL Headquarters.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Preeti Singh emphasized that Arpita Mahila Mandal has consistently worked towards the welfare of underprivileged and economically weaker sections of society. She noted that the organization regularly undertakes community-centric initiatives aimed at providing meaningful support to those in need and remains committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a commendable initiative to promote digital education and empower young achievers, Arpita Mahila Mandal honoured 16 meritorious students who excelled in the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Class 10 Board Examination by distributing Tablets.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The felicitation ceremony was held at the Security Training Institute located within the Gandhi Nagar residential complex. The event was organised under the guidance of Mrs. Preeti Singh, President of Arpita Mahila Mandal, with the aim of bridging the digital divide and encouraging students to pursue higher education.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Along with the students, their parents were also felicitated during the ceremony. Girls and their mothers were presented with scarves, while boys and their fathers received shawls and boxes of sweets. The students were further honoured with medals and extended best wishes for their future.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was highlighted that most of the beneficiaries belong to economically weaker sections, with parents working as daily wage labourers. By providing tablets, the organisation aims to equip these talented students with access to modern learning tools and digital resources.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a commendable initiative aimed at providing relief during the ongoing heatwave, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), in collaboration with Arpita Mahila Mandal, inaugurated a <strong>pure cold drinking water centre</strong> for the public.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The facility was formally inaugurated in the presence of Arpita Mahila Mandal President <strong>Mrs. Preeti Singh</strong>, Vice President <strong>Mrs. Indu Mishra</strong>, <strong>Mrs. Rita Tiwari</strong>, and other members of the Mandal. The newly established centre will provide <strong>clean and chilled drinking water</strong> to the public, offering much-needed relief amid rising temperatures.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On the occasion, members of the Mandal, along with senior officials including the Chairman, actively participated in a distribution drive. <strong>Cold drinking water, sweets, buttermilk, and lemonade</strong> were distributed among women workers, security personnel, traffic police, school children, sanitation workers, and other stakeholders, benefiting hundreds of people.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking at the event, Mrs. Preeti Singh emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating that access to clean and cool drinking water is vital during extreme heat conditions. She reiterated that Arpita Mahila Mandal remains committed to social service and public welfare and will continue to undertake such efforts in the future.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The programme witnessed the presence of General Managers, department heads, officers, and a large number of employees, reflecting strong institutional support for community welfare initiatives.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Arpita Mahila Mandal of <strong>Central Coalfields Limited (CCL)</strong> celebrated <strong>International Women&#8217;s Day</strong> with great enthusiasm and active participation under the guidance of its President, Mrs. Preeti Singh. The event featured a series of creative competitions and a special felicitation ceremony to honour women employees for their dedication and contribution.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The celebration began with an <strong>Inter-Area Rangoli Competition</strong>, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from all 15 areas of CCL, along with female employees from the headquarters. The colourful and captivating rangoli designs reflected creativity, cultural vibrancy, and the spirit of women’s empowerment, adding a festive atmosphere to the event.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To further enhance the excitement, a <strong>Fruit, Vegetable and Dry Fruit Jewellery Competition</strong> was also organised. Members of the Arpita Mahila Mandal participated with great enthusiasm, presenting unique and innovative jewellery designs crafted from fruits, vegetables, and dry fruits. The competition highlighted the artistic skills and creativity of the participants.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On the occasion, the Arpita Mahila Mandal also honoured women employees working in <strong>Jawahar Nagar Colony, Darbhanga House, and Gandhi Nagar Hospital and Colony</strong>. During the felicitation ceremony, the women employees were recognised for their dedication and hard work and were presented with umbrellas, towels, steel tiffin boxes, and tiaras as tokens of appreciation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through this initiative, the Mahila Mandal expressed gratitude for the invaluable contribution made by women employees in the organisation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking on the occasion, President Mrs. Preeti Singh appreciated the enthusiastic participation of members and staff. She emphasised the importance of empowering women, recognising their contributions, and providing platforms where they can showcase their talents and creativity.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners and appreciation for all participants, making the <strong>International Women’s Day celebration</strong> both inspiring and memorable.</p>

Following a post-training assessment, 21 women cleared the examination and were awarded certificates. Sewing machines along with complete tailoring kits were also distributed to the successful participants, enabling them to begin income-generating activities.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The initiative was implemented in coordination with CCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department and Srijan Sanstha, with the objective of equipping women with vocational skills and creating sustainable self-employment opportunities.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Preeti Singh said the Mandal remains committed to ensuring continued support for the beneficiaries. She assured that trained women would be provided further employment opportunities and regular mentoring to help them achieve financial independence and build sustainable livelihoods.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Arpita Mahila Mandal has been actively engaged in social welfare initiatives focused on women, children and senior citizens. Members of the Mandal participate in community development activities through personal resources and voluntary contributions, working consistently towards social empowerment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Arpita Mahila Mandal organised Christmas and New Year celebrations at Shanti Sadan, Ormanjhi, spreading warmth, joy and compassion among women residents with mental health challenges.<br>Under the leadership and guidance of Mrs. Preeti Singh, President, Arpita Mahila Mandal, the members celebrated the festive occasion with great enthusiasm and a strong spirit of service. The event was marked by love, inclusivity and emotional bonding with the residents of Shanti Sadan.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The highlight of the programme was that all cultural performances were presented by the residents themselves. With the encouragement and support of the Sisters and Father of the institution, the residents confidently showcased their talent through melodious songs, vibrant group dances and an entertaining group comedy skit. Their performances were met with warm applause and appreciation from everyone present, including the members of Arpita Mahila Mandal.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Keeping the winter season in mind, Arpita Mahila Mandal distributed 50 blankets along with food packets to the residents to provide comfort during the cold weather. In addition, the organisation extended financial assistance of ₹15,000 in cash to support the ongoing welfare activities of Shanti Sadan.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Preeti Singh emphasised that such celebrations play a vital role in boosting the self-confidence of mentally ill individuals and contribute significantly to their emotional well-being, positive outlook and happiness.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The programme concluded on a heartfelt note, filled with harmony, joy and a spirit of selfless service, truly reflecting the social commitment, sensitivity and human values of Arpita Mahila Mandal.</p>
