<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a significant step towards promoting technology-enabled education in coal belt communities, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has launched an <strong>AI-based educational project</strong> at <strong>PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Binod Nagar, Dhanbad</strong> under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">BCCL, a key subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has consistently been supporting educational infrastructure and community development in mining regions through its CSR interventions.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/PR-image-school-2-1024x683.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-30939" srcset="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/PR-image-school-2-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/PR-image-school-2-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/PR-image-school-2-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/PR-image-school-2.jpeg 1152w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The project was formally inaugurated on Saturday in the presence of school Principal <strong>Shailendra Sharma</strong>, officials from BCCL’s CSR Department, and representatives associated with the implementing agency.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the inaugural programme, students were introduced to the growing role of <strong>Artificial Intelligence (AI)</strong> in education and everyday life. Speakers explained the practical applications of AI, its academic benefits, future career relevance, and the precautions needed for its responsible use. Students were encouraged to use AI as a positive learning tool to strengthen knowledge, improve analytical abilities, and prepare for emerging technological challenges.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Under the initiative, students of <strong>Class VI and above</strong> will receive structured training in new-age digital technologies and technical skills through AI-enabled software platforms. The software will continuously monitor each student’s learning progress, conduct periodic assessments, identify weak areas, and provide customised recommendations including videos, study material, and remedial content.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This AI-driven system is expected to ensure a <strong>personalised learning experience</strong>, enabling students to improve at their own pace with targeted academic support.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The project has been designed as a <strong>three-year intervention</strong> and is expected to benefit nearly <strong>200 students every year</strong>. Besides strengthening classroom learning, the programme aims to enhance students’ digital literacy, logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, and technical competence.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Officials said the initiative reflects BCCL’s commitment to bridging the digital divide in its command areas and providing modern educational opportunities to children from local communities.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With this intervention, BCCL has taken an important step towards fostering innovation-led education and creating a future-ready student ecosystem in Dhanbad.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The two-day annual fair “Anand Mela–2026”, organised by Diksha Mahila Mandal, BCCL, concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from the public and the BCCL family. The second and final day of the event stood out for its strong focus on social responsibility, creativity, inclusivity, and community bonding.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00005-1024x682.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-30678" srcset="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00005-1024x682.jpeg 1024w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00005-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00005-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00005-1536x1023.jpeg 1536w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00005.jpeg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A major highlight of the concluding day was a significant CSR initiative under which battery-operated tricycles were distributed to 10 differently-abled individuals from Dhanbad and nearby areas. The tricycles were provided under a BCCL CSR project through Diksha Mahila Mandal in the presence of BCCL’s top management.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In another touching gesture, Diksha Mahila Mandal, in coordination with BCCL management, decided to extend financial and complete educational support to a 10-year-old girl from an economically disadvantaged family who lost an arm in an accident and was forced to discontinue her studies. The Mandal assured all possible assistance for her rehabilitation and education.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00003-1024x682.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-30679" srcset="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00003-1024x682.jpeg 1024w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00003-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00003-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00003-1536x1023.jpeg 1536w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/00003.jpeg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Dignitaries Present</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The occasion was graced by CMD, BCCL, Shri Manoj Kumar Agrawal; Directors Shri Murali Krishna Ramaiya and Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh; CVO Shri Aman Raj; OSD (Finance) Shri Rajesh Kumar; President, Diksha Mahila Mandal, Smt. Archana Agrawal; Vice President Smt. Purbita Ramaiya, along with Smt. Ranjana Singh, Dr. Neha Das, Smt. Neeta Kumar, and other respected members of Diksha Mahila Mandal.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Leadership Speaks</strong></p>

She described Anand Mela as a reflection of collective social responsibility, women’s empowerment, creativity, and service, noting that such platforms also encourage entrepreneurship while reinforcing values of compassion and sensitivity.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The concluding day witnessed quizzes, housie, cultural programmes, music and song performances, with active participation from BCCL employees, their families, and the general public. Performances by school students and children of the BCCL family added vibrancy and enthusiasm to the fair.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="682" src="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-11-at-6.35.33-PM-1024x682.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-30681" srcset="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-11-at-6.35.33-PM-1024x682.jpeg 1024w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-11-at-6.35.33-PM-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-11-at-6.35.33-PM-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-11-at-6.35.33-PM-1536x1023.jpeg 1536w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/WhatsApp-Image-2026-01-11-at-6.35.33-PM.jpeg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
