<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a significant step under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, NTPC Unchahar has partnered with the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering &amp; Technology (CIPET), Lucknow, to provide vocational training in Machine Operator – Plastics Processing to 40 selected youth from 15 nearby village panchayats. The initiative is aimed at enhancing employability and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural youth.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The MoU was signed in the presence of Abhay Kumar Srivastava, Executive Director &amp; Head of Project, NTPC Unchahar, by Ruma De Sharma, Head of Human Resources, NTPC Unchahar, and Puneet Bhargava, Senior Administrative Officer, CIPET Lucknow.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking on the occasion, Srivastava reaffirmed NTPC’s commitment to skill development and youth empowerment. He emphasized that the collaboration with CIPET will not only provide technical expertise but also open avenues for long-term career growth. To mark the commencement, he flagged off a bus carrying the selected trainees to Lucknow for the four-month residential training program.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The event was graced by several dignitaries including Anupama Srivastava, President, Priyadarshini Ladies Club; Dilip Kumar Sahu, General Manager (Operation); S.U. Haridas, General Manager (Maintenance); Ranjita, Senior Member, PDLC; Rajesh Srivastava (SDM, Unchahar); along with union representatives, senior officials, and PDLC committee members.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The comprehensive training program, jointly conducted by NTPC and CIPET, will equip participants with specialized skills and link them with diverse employment opportunities. The selected candidates and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude to NTPC and CIPET for providing a transformative opportunity towards a brighter future.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a remarkable stride under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, NTPC Unchahar brought joy and renewed hope to the rural youth of nearby villages by facilitating employment opportunities. When job offer letters were handed over, the faces of the young beneficiaries lit up with happiness and heartfelt gratitude for NTPC&#8217;s life-changing support.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As part of the initiative, 30 young men and women from villages surrounding the NTPC Unchahar project were provided with a six-month skill development training in Plastic Processing through the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET). Post training, the candidates were successfully placed in reputed companies across India, opening doors to stable employment and self-reliance.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To honor the success of this initiative, a felicitation ceremony was organized at NTPC Unchahar, where the beneficiaries received their offer letters and training certificates from Executive Director Abhay Kumar Srivastava and President of Priyadarshini Ladies Club, Anupama Srivastava, in the esteemed presence of General Managers, Department Heads, Union and Association Leaders, and local village heads.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking on the occasion, Abhay Kumar Srivastava extended his best wishes to the newly employed youth and encouraged them to contribute wholeheartedly to their respective organizations, thereby bringing pride to themselves and NTPC alike.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">K.P. Singh, Head of the Skill Development Division at CIPET, shared inspiring insights into the training program and highly praised NTPC for its committed efforts toward rural employment generation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Village heads and employee representatives also addressed the gathering and extended their best wishes to the beneficiaries for a successful and self-sufficient future.</p>
