Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) successfully concluded its two-day free mega health camp, “Swasth Zindagi – Maha Arogya,” organized in collaboration with the RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Centre. The camp was held on November 6 at the Nehru Complex, Coal Nagar, and on November 7 at the Bastakola Regional Complex.

Over the two days, nearly 5,000 individuals received free healthcare services, including medical consultations, AYUSH testing and treatment, eye check-ups, bone density tests, ECG, blood tests, blood sugar monitoring, and free medicine distribution. Spectacles and wheelchairs were also distributed to those in need.

On the first day, 986 people were registered, while 3,992 beneficiaries availed health services on the second day, reflecting the overwhelming response from employees, their families, and local residents.

The camp was inaugurated on November 6 by Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, BCCL, in the presence of Murali Krishna Ramaiah, Director (HR), Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Technical) Operations, and Aman Raj, Chief Vigilance Officer.

The closing ceremony on November 7 was chaired by Mr. Arun Oraon, Independent Director, BCCL, at the Bastakola Regional Office premises. The event was attended by Mr. Kumar Manoj, General Manager (CSR), Mr. Pranab Das, Regional General Manager (Bastakola Region), and other senior officials.

A dedicated team of doctors provided various medical services during the camp, offering vital health support to the community. The guests commended BCCL’s ongoing efforts under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to ensure accessible healthcare for mining communities.

They noted that such initiatives not only promote health awareness but also encourage preventive healthcare practices among citizens. The two-day Maha Arogya Camp was organized under BCCL’s CSR Plan 2025–26, reaffirming the company’s commitment to community welfare and sustainable health development.
