<p>NTPC Unchahar signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Chakriya Vikas Pranali Sansthan (CVPS) for organizing tuberculosis (TB) awareness camps and distributing nutritional support to patients in the Raebareli district.</p>



<p>The signing ceremony was held in the august presence of Shri Abhay Kumar Srivastava, Executive Director and Head of Project, NTPC Unchahar. The agreement was signed by Smt. Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR, NTPC Unchahar, and Shri P. N. Shukla, Secretary, Chakriya Vikas Pranali Sansthan.</p>



<p>Under this CSR initiative, awareness camps on tuberculosis will be conducted across the Raebareli district, and nutritional kits will be distributed to 100 TB patients for a period of six months.</p>



<p>This program marks a significant step towards Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a TB-Free India, reinforcing NTPC Unchahar’s commitment to community health and social development. The collaboration aims not only to support patients in their recovery journey but also to contribute to regional welfare and holistic well-being.</p>



<p>With this partnership, NTPC Unchahar continues to exemplify responsible corporate citizenship—working beyond power generation to uplift communities and promote inclusive growth in the region.</p>

<p>In a significant step under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, NTPC Unchahar has partnered with the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering &amp; Technology (CIPET), Lucknow, to provide vocational training in Machine Operator – Plastics Processing to 40 selected youth from 15 nearby village panchayats. <p>The MoU was signed in the presence of Abhay Kumar Srivastava, Executive Director &amp; Head of Project, NTPC Unchahar, by Ruma De Sharma, Head of Human Resources, NTPC Unchahar, and Puneet Bhargava, Senior Administrative Officer, CIPET Lucknow.</p>

<p>Speaking on the occasion, Srivastava reaffirmed NTPC’s commitment to skill development and youth empowerment. He emphasized that the collaboration with CIPET will not only provide technical expertise but also open avenues for long-term career growth. To mark the commencement, he flagged off a bus carrying the selected trainees to Lucknow for the four-month residential training program.</p>

<p>The event was graced by several dignitaries including Anupama Srivastava, President, Priyadarshini Ladies Club; Dilip Kumar Sahu, General Manager (Operation); S.U. Haridas, General Manager (Maintenance); Ranjita, Senior Member, PDLC; Rajesh Srivastava (SDM, Unchahar); along with union representatives, senior officials, and PDLC committee members.</p>



<p>The comprehensive training program, jointly conducted by NTPC and CIPET, will equip participants with specialized skills and link them with diverse employment opportunities. The selected candidates and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude to NTPC and CIPET for providing a transformative opportunity towards a brighter future.</p>

<p>On the occasion, Harshita Mathur (IAS), District Magistrate, Raebareli, graced the program as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, she motivated the girls to move forward with hard work and self-confidence to shape a brighter future. She emphasized that the campaign would not only be a memorable experience but also a key step in building the participants’ personalities. Appreciating NTPC’s commitment to social responsibility, she added that such efforts provide fresh momentum to girl child education and self-reliance in rural areas. She also assured that NTPC Unchahar has always supported the district administration in the region’s overall development.</p>

<p>Abhay Kumar Srivastava, Executive Director and Head of Project, NTPC Unchahar, welcomed the initiative and highlighted that bicycles would make the school and coaching journeys of the girls easier, enabling them to pursue higher aspirations. He further inspired the participants with the mantra “Victory lies beyond fear”, encouraging them to face challenges courageously.</p>

<p>In a remarkable stride under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, NTPC Unchahar brought joy and renewed hope to the rural youth of nearby villages by facilitating employment opportunities. When job offer letters were handed over, the faces of the young beneficiaries lit up with happiness and heartfelt gratitude for NTPC&#8217;s life-changing support.</p>



<p>As part of the initiative, 30 young men and women from villages surrounding the NTPC Unchahar project were provided with a six-month skill development training in Plastic Processing through the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET). Post training, the candidates were successfully placed in reputed companies across India, opening doors to stable employment and self-reliance.</p>

<p>To honor the success of this initiative, a felicitation ceremony was organized at NTPC Unchahar, where the beneficiaries received their offer letters and training certificates from Executive Director Abhay Kumar Srivastava and President of Priyadarshini Ladies Club, Anupama Srivastava, in the esteemed presence of General Managers, Department Heads, Union and Association Leaders, and local village heads.</p>



<p>Speaking on the occasion, Abhay Kumar Srivastava extended his best wishes to the newly employed youth and encouraged them to contribute wholeheartedly to their respective organizations, thereby bringing pride to themselves and NTPC alike.</p>
