The occasion was also graced by Dr Rajesh Mishra, Member of Parliament (Sidhi), and Gaurav Benal, IAS, Collector &amp; District Magistrate of Singrauli, along with other distinguished dignitaries.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Reinforcing its commitment to safety awareness and community empowerment, NTPC Vindhyachal organized a Fire Safety Awareness Session along with a live demonstration for participants of GEM 2026.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The session aimed to educate young girls about common causes of fire accidents while equipping them with essential preventive and emergency response skills. The interactive training was conducted by V.S. Yadav, Inspector (Fire) from CISF, who provided practical insights into fire safety protocols.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Participants were given a live demonstration on the correct use of fire extinguishers, along with detailed guidance on evacuation procedures and immediate response techniques during fire emergencies. The hands-on experience generated significant enthusiasm among the girls, making the learning both engaging and impactful.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The event saw enthusiastic participation from <strong>390 athletes representing 22 schools</strong>, competing across <strong>85 track and field events</strong>, including running, jumping, and throwing disciplines. Competitions were held across four categories—Under 14, Under 16, Under 18, and Under 20—providing a comprehensive platform for young talent.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Senior officials including <strong>Shri Sanjib Kumar Saha, CGM (Vindhyachal)</strong>, <strong>Smt. Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR</strong>, and <strong>Shri Pranav Verma, AGM (HR)</strong> graced the occasion. They encouraged participants and lauded the organizers for fostering a competitive sporting environment. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">NTPC Limited’s Vindhyachal unit marked a significant milestone in its skill development journey with the inauguration of the <em>Mukhya Mantri Seekho Kamao Yojna (MMSKY)</em> annual internship program at RLI Vindhyachal.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A flagship initiative of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, the program commenced with the onboarding of 24 enthusiastic trainees. The initiative is aimed at bridging the critical gap between academic learning and industry requirements, equipping youth with practical skills and real-world exposure.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The inaugural session featured a warm welcome followed by an engaging orientation, offering trainees valuable insights into the diverse learning avenues and professional opportunities that lie ahead during the internship.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Addressing the gathering, Dr. Debasmita Tripathy, AGM (RLI Vindhyachal), emphasized the growing importance of skill development in today’s competitive environment. She lauded the proactive efforts of both the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh in driving youth empowerment initiatives.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Highlighting NTPC’s first-time implementation of the MMSKY program, Dr. Tripathy reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to nation-building through structured skill development. She encouraged trainees to make the most of this opportunity by continuously upgrading their competencies and imbibing NTPC’s core values.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In a significant step towards fostering youth empowerment and financial inclusion, NTPC Limited Vindhyachal successfully concluded its 38-day <strong>Assistant Bookkeeper Training Program</strong> under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The program was conducted in collaboration with the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Singrauli.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A total of <strong>35 participants</strong> underwent comprehensive training designed to build strong foundations in modern accounting and digital finance. The curriculum included modules on <strong>Tally, GST, billing &amp; invoicing, digital filing, basic computer applications, banking systems, digital payments</strong>, and awareness of <strong>government financial schemes</strong>. Participants were also introduced to <strong>entrepreneurship and business management</strong>, preparing them for both employment and self-employment opportunities.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The initiative aimed to equip local youth with <strong>industry-relevant digital and financial skills</strong>, aligning with the broader vision of Digital India and enabling participants to pursue sustainable livelihoods.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <strong>valedictory ceremony</strong> was attended by <strong>Mahtab Alam</strong>, DGM (CSR/R&amp;R), NTPC Vindhyachal, and <strong>Vijay Kumar</strong>, Director of RSETI Singrauli. Both dignitaries felicitated the participants with certificates upon successful completion of the program.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Addressing the gathering, Alam emphasized that <strong>computerized accounting skills are key enablers of self-employment and financial independence</strong>. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">NTPC Limited Vindhyachal hosted a vibrant in-house cultural evening at the Vindhya Club to honour the visiting CII HR Excellence Assessment Team, celebrating the station’s rich talent and cultural ethos. The programme reflected the spirit of camaraderie, creativity, and organizational pride that defines the Vindhyachal unit.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The evening commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful rendition of the NTPC Geet, setting a warm and festive tone for the gathering.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Welcoming the dignitaries and employees, Sanjib Kumar Saha, CGM (Vindhyachal), struck a lighter note in his address, encouraging everyone to immerse themselves in the cultural richness of the station. A specially curated video capturing glimpses of the assessors’ journey and key station activities added a nostalgic touch and drew appreciation from the visiting team.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The cultural segment featured enthralling dance performances by students from Suhasini School, De Paul School and DPS, highlighting vibrant Maharashtrian folk themes and the mythological connect with the Holi festival. The performances left the audience mesmerised with their energy and artistic expression.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The evening further sparkled with a soulful flute recital by Saurabh Banaudha, DGM (IT), and a captivating presentation by Ravindra Mishra. In a delightful surprise, Deepak A. Deshpande and members of the assessment team joined for an impromptu performance, reflecting their shared journey and camaraderie during the assessment process.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Gracefully anchored by Kamna Sharma, DGM (HR), the programme stood as a fine example of seamless teamwork and coordination among the HR, TAD and Vindhya Club teams. The celebration not only honoured the CII assessors but also showcased NTPC Vindhyachal’s commitment to excellence, engagement and cultural vibrancy.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">NTPC Vindhyachal has achieved a significant national milestone by securing the <strong>Runner-Up Trophy in the PSU category</strong> at the prestigious <strong>AIMA CSR &amp; Innovation Summit 2026</strong>, organised by the <strong>All India Management Association (AIMA)</strong>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The award was conferred for the <strong>Masala Production Unit</strong> established under NTPC Vindhyachal’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in collaboration with the <strong>Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII)</strong>. The project was presented as a case study by <strong>Shri Pranav Verma, AGM (HR)</strong>, who also received the Runner-Up Trophy on behalf of the station.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The AIMA CSR &amp; Innovation Contest &amp; Summit serves as a consolidated national platform integrating AIMA’s long-standing CSR and Innovation flagship programmes, aimed at recognising organisations that deliver measurable social impact while promoting responsible business practices.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">NTPC Vindhyachal’s CSR Masala Unit was evaluated on stringent parameters including <strong>Uniqueness, Impact, Scale and Sustainability</strong>. The initiative was widely appreciated for its <strong>community-centric design, livelihood generation potential, scalability, and long-term sustainability</strong>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This national recognition reaffirms NTPC Vindhyachal’s commitment to inclusive growth and highlights its continued efforts to create sustainable socio-economic value through impactful CSR interventions.</p>
