APCPL CSR Initiative Strengthens Rural School Infrastructure, Enhances Learning Environment in Jhajjar

CSR support upgrades classrooms, labs, library and primary wing at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Matanhail

A strong educational foundation begins with functional infrastructure, and this belief has been effectively translated into action at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Matanhail, following a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade supported by Aravali Power Company Private Limited (APCPL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The APCPL power plant, located in Jhajjar district, has provided extensive furniture and infrastructure support to the school, covering classrooms, science laboratories, computer labs, the library, and the primary wing. The initiative has significantly enhanced the school’s functionality, creating a more organised, modern and student-friendly learning environment that directly supports academic engagement and teaching effectiveness.

The upgraded facilities were inaugurated in the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Dilip Kaibortta, CEO, APCPL, and Guest of Honour Mr. Umesh Kumar, AGM (HR), APCPL. The programme was also attended by the school’s Principal Mr. Kanwar Singh, along with teachers and students.

Addressing the students, Mr. Kaibortta announced that APCPL will sponsor an educational visit to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the top three students of Classes IX and X in the current academic year. Reiterating the company’s commitment to education, he said that APCPL remains dedicated to supporting learning opportunities and overall educational development in the region.

Appreciating the CSR initiative, Principal Mr. Kanwar Singh stated that the high-quality furniture and infrastructure support has elevated the standards of classrooms and laboratories, making teaching and learning more effective. He added that beyond physical improvements, the initiative has also helped instil values of energy conservation and social responsibility among students.

Sharing her experience, Class X student Tanisha said that the school earlier lacked several basic facilities but has now transformed into a modern learning space equipped with desks, chairs, science laboratories, a library and smart boards. She expressed gratitude to APCPL for supporting students’ aspirations through meaningful infrastructure development.

The availability of appropriate furniture in primary classes has also made learning more comfortable and engaging for younger students. School authorities noted that such improvements are likely to have a positive impact on student attendance, concentration and confidence.

The initiative underscores the role of targeted CSR interventions in improving the quality of education in rural government schools, helping create a dignified and enabling learning environment for students across all age groups.
