CCL News: Women Gain Self-Employment Opportunities Through Arpita Mahila Mandal Initiative

21 Women Complete Sewing Training in CCL Areas; Certificates and Machines Distributed

Under the leadership of Arpita Mahila Mandal President Mrs. Preeti Singh, a sewing machine training programme conducted across various Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) operational areas concluded successfully this year. Following a post-training assessment, 21 women cleared the examination and were awarded certificates. Sewing machines along with complete tailoring kits were also distributed to the successful participants, enabling them to begin income-generating activities.

The initiative was implemented in coordination with CCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department and Srijan Sanstha, with the objective of equipping women with vocational skills and creating sustainable self-employment opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Preeti Singh said the Mandal remains committed to ensuring continued support for the beneficiaries. She assured that trained women would be provided further employment opportunities and regular mentoring to help them achieve financial independence and build sustainable livelihoods.

Arpita Mahila Mandal has been actively engaged in social welfare initiatives focused on women, children and senior citizens. Members of the Mandal participate in community development activities through personal resources and voluntary contributions, working consistently towards social empowerment.
