CCL Promotes Healthy Living Through Yoga, Organises Special Sessions Across Operations on International Yoga Day

CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, Directors, CVO and Employees Participate in Mass Yoga Session in Ranchi

Marking the International Day of Yoga, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organised a special yoga session at Jawaharnagar Club, Kanke Road, Ranchi, reaffirming its commitment to the physical and mental well-being of its workforce.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from CCL’s top leadership, including Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Technical/Operations) Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, Director (Planning & Projects) Anup Hanjura and Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar, along with senior officials and a large number of employees.

The yoga session was conducted by renowned yoga expert Indrajit Chatterjee, who guided participants through various yoga asanas, pranayama techniques and simple exercises aimed at enhancing physical fitness, mental balance and emotional well-being. During the session, he highlighted the role of yoga in promoting a healthy and stress-free lifestyle.

In addition to the Ranchi event, special yoga sessions were organised across all CCL operational areas, including CCL Gandhinagar Hospital. Regional General Managers, representatives of labour unions, stakeholders, employees and their family members actively participated in the celebrations, making the observance a company-wide initiative.

On the occasion, employees and officers pledged to integrate yoga into their daily routines and adopt healthier lifestyles. The event served as a platform to raise awareness about health, mindfulness, mental peace and holistic well-being.

CCL reiterated that the physical and mental wellness of its employees remains a top priority. The company continues to encourage the practice of yoga, drawing inspiration from India’s rich wellness tradition, while fostering a healthy, productive and energetic work culture across its operations.
