As part of its ongoing commitment to community welfare under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) today launched two state-of-the-art Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) under the project “Upchar Aapke Dwar” — translating to “Treatment at Your Doorstep.”
The initiative was formally flagged off by Nilendu Kumar Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCL, in the presence of Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Technical/Operations) Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Pankaj Kumar, along with several senior officers of the company.

Healthcare Access for 27 Villages in Chatra District
The “Upchar Aapke Dwar” project will extend free and accessible healthcare services to 27 villages of the Chatra district, covering 20 villages in the Amrapali area and 7 villages in the Magadh area under CCL’s command region. The mobile units will provide door-to-door medical services to ensure quality healthcare reaches even the most remote rural households.
- Equipped with Advanced Medical Technologies
- Each mobile medical unit is equipped with modern and portable medical technologies, including:
- AI-based handheld X-ray machines for on-the-spot diagnostics
- High-resolution thermal sensors for breast cancer screening
- Trunat machines for rapid tuberculosis (TB) testing
- General medicines and essential supplies for common ailments
These technologically advanced features will help in early detection and timely treatment of diseases, particularly in underserved regions.

Operated by RK HIV AIDS & Research
The MMUs will be operated by RK HIV AIDS & Research, an organization with proven expertise in public health outreach. Each vehicle will be staffed with a dedicated team comprising doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, and community mobilizers. The team will conduct health check-ups, provide medicines, offer counseling, and create awareness on disease prevention and general wellness — all at the doorstep of beneficiaries.
CCL’s Commitment to Inclusive Healthcare
Speaking on the occasion, CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh reiterated CCL’s mission to make healthcare accessible, affordable, and inclusive for all residents within its operational areas. He emphasized that this initiative will bridge healthcare gaps in rural Jharkhand and strengthen preventive healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.
Through this initiative, Central Coalfields Limited once again reaffirms its commitment to improving the quality of life in mining-affected communities while contributing to the Government of India’s vision of equitable healthcare for all.
