
In a landmark initiative to provide accessible, affordable, and timely healthcare services to deprived and underserved sections of society, the “New Ambulance Service” launched by Help You Educational and Charitable Trust, with financial support from Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), was inaugurated today by Finance Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Suresh Kumar Khanna.
The ambulance was ceremonially flagged off by breaking a coconut and waving the green flag amidst chanting of Vedic mantras and blowing of the conch. The occasion was graced by Ajit Kumar Sinha, Chief Regional Manager, IRCTC Lucknow; Dr. Harsh Vardhan Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Help You Educational and Charitable Trust; members of the Trust’s advisory committee; along with doctors, paramedical staff, and volunteers.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Kumar Khanna said: “This effort by Help You Educational and Charitable Trust and IRCTC will prove to be life-saving for the poor and deprived sections of society. Equipped with advanced medical facilities, this ambulance will serve as a powerful medium to deliver healthcare to every needy person. This initiative is a true reflection of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.’ Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Help You Educational and Charitable Trust and IRCTC for this noble and socially impactful effort.”
Expressing gratitude to IRCTC, Dr. Harsh Vardhan Agarwal, Managing Trustee, said: “This ambulance service will primarily serve rural and neglected areas of Balrampur district. Our mission is that no person should lose their life due to lack of resources. With IRCTC’s support, this dream has become reality, and in the future, Help You Educational and Charitable Trust will continue to initiate such public welfare projects.”
Highlighting the features of the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance, Dr. Agarwal described it as a “mobile mini-ICU on wheels”, fully equipped with modern life-saving systems, including:
- Cardiac monitor & defibrillator
- Ventilator (respirator)
- Continuous oxygen support system
- Suction machine
- Syringe & infusion pump
- Emergency medication kit
- Patient monitoring system (BP, pulse, oxygen level, ECG, etc.)
- Spinal board & stretcher
- Nebulizer machine
- Advanced airway management equipment (endotracheal tube, bag-valve-mask, etc.)
- A trained doctor & paramedical team
