A delegation from Larsen & Toubro (L&T) met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in New Delhi on Wednesday and handed over a cheque of ₹5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid those affected by recent natural disasters in Uttarakhand. The contribution will support relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction efforts across disaster-hit regions of the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to the L&T representatives, describing the gesture as a “commendable act of corporate social responsibility.” He said that this assistance from the private sector would significantly strengthen the state government’s ongoing efforts to provide timely help to affected citizens.
Dhami reiterated that Uttarakhand, being a disaster-prone state due to its geographical terrain, regularly faces natural calamities. The government, he said, is working on a comprehensive disaster management strategy to make relief operations more effective and prompt.
Senior officials from the L&T Group were present during the meeting.
