NTPC Bongaigaon Strengthens Healthcare in Kokrajhar with Three ALS Ambulances

CSR initiative to enhance emergency medical services in the district

In a significant step towards strengthening healthcare facilities in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, NTPC Bongaigaon handed over three Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances to the District Administration under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

The fully equipped ambulances were formally handed over by Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, to Masanda M Pertin, IAS, District Commissioner, Kokrajhar, in the presence of Kabita Deka, ACS, Additional District Commissioner, Kokrajhar, Amit K Asthana, AGM (HR), NTPC Bongaigaon, Dr. Atul Chandra Baro, Principal, Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital, and officials from the District Health Services and NTPC Bongaigaon’s HR Department.

Expressing gratitude, District Commissioner Masanda M Pertin said that the ambulances would greatly enhance medical response capacity in the district. Arnab Maitra reaffirmed NTPC’s commitment to community development, stating that health and welfare remain priority areas in the company’s CSR focus.

The ambulances were provided following a request from the District Administration, and will be operated by the District Health Services, Kokrajhar, ensuring timely and efficient medical support to underserved communities.

This initiative underscores NTPC Bongaigaon’s dedication to healthcare access and community welfare, furthering its vision of contributing to the well-being of people in its neighbourhood.
