<p class="wp-block-paragraph">South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative <em>“SECL Ki DHADKAN,”</em> has achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of 300 life-saving heart surgeries for children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The valedictory ceremony of <em>“SECL Ki DHADKAN – Phase II”</em> was held on May 22, 2026, at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The project has been implemented across Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, providing completely free treatment to children from economically weaker sections.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac1ZbkAAZAR5-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-30993" srcset="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac1ZbkAAZAR5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac1ZbkAAZAR5-300x200.jpg 300w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac1ZbkAAZAR5-768x512.jpg 768w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac1ZbkAAZAR5-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac1ZbkAAZAR5.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>A New Lease of Life for Children</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The initiative has brought renewed hope and life to hundreds of children and their families. During the event, cultural performances were organized, and a special film showcasing the journey and impact of <em>SECL Ki DHADKAN</em> was screened. Families of beneficiaries shared emotional testimonies, highlighting how the initiative transformed their lives.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The project successfully reached remote and underserved regions through extensive screening drives and medical camps, ensuring identification and treatment of children in need. It stands out as a strong example of impactful healthcare outreach and social commitment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>MoU Signed for Next Phase</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the next phase of the project. Under the upcoming phase, an additional 300 children will undergo heart surgeries.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This announcement has renewed hope among families who are unable to afford critical medical treatment for their children.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac2masAAdGVI-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-30994" srcset="https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac2masAAdGVI-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac2masAAdGVI-300x200.jpg 300w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac2masAAdGVI-768x512.jpg 768w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac2masAAdGVI-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://indianpsucsr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/HI8ac2masAAdGVI.jpg 2048w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>SECL’s Commitment to Accessible Healthcare</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Addressing the gathering, Biranchi Das reaffirmed SECL’s commitment to community welfare and accessible healthcare. Emphasizing the spirit of the initiative, he remarked:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>“This is SECL Ki DHADKAN — Only Heart, Without Bill.”</em></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He further noted that the project has played a crucial role in extending healthcare services to remote and underdeveloped areas.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Presence of Senior Officials</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The event was attended by senior SECL officials, including Ajay Behera, Arnab Mondal, Vivek Kumar Singh, and Mitali Tiwari. They expressed satisfaction over the success of the initiative and described it as a landmark CSR achievement.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>A Model for Social Impact</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>SECL Ki DHADKAN</em> has emerged as more than just a healthcare initiative—it has become a symbol of hope and transformation for underprivileged families. By saving young lives, the project reinforces the vital role that public sector enterprises can play in social development.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The initiative is expected to continue making a meaningful impact by extending life-saving treatment to many more children in the coming years.</p>
