
Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and green initiatives, Diksha Mahila Mandal of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) organized a tree plantation drive at the Kalyan Bhawan (HRD) campus in Jagjivan Nagar under the nationwide campaign “One Tree for Mother.”
The plantation programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of Diksha Mahila Mandal, led by its President Mrs. Archana Agarwal and Vice President Mrs. Ranjana Singh. During the event, fruit-bearing and shade-giving saplings of various species were planted across the HRD campus, promoting the message of environmental conservation and ecological balance.

Senior officials of BCCL also participated in the initiative, including Sudhakar Prasad, General Manager (Mining/HRD), Radheshyam Dubey, Chief Manager (Mining/HRD), Ravi Kumar, and Chief Manager (HRD/Administration), along with officers and employees from the HRD Department, Environment Department, and Coal Bhawan Headquarters.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Archana Agarwal emphasized that protecting the environment and increasing green cover are collective responsibilities. She highlighted the vital role trees play in mitigating environmental degradation and combating climate change.
“Trees are essential for maintaining ecological balance and ensuring a sustainable future. Every individual should contribute by planting more trees for the benefit of future generations and to achieve the goal of a green and clean environment,” she said.
The programme concluded with participants taking a collective pledge to strengthen efforts towards environmental protection and work together for a greener and more sustainable future.
