
In a significant step towards fostering youth empowerment and financial inclusion, NTPC Limited Vindhyachal successfully concluded its 38-day Assistant Bookkeeper Training Program under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The program was conducted in collaboration with the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Singrauli.
A total of 35 participants underwent comprehensive training designed to build strong foundations in modern accounting and digital finance. The curriculum included modules on Tally, GST, billing & invoicing, digital filing, basic computer applications, banking systems, digital payments, and awareness of government financial schemes. Participants were also introduced to entrepreneurship and business management, preparing them for both employment and self-employment opportunities.
The initiative aimed to equip local youth with industry-relevant digital and financial skills, aligning with the broader vision of Digital India and enabling participants to pursue sustainable livelihoods.
The valedictory ceremony was attended by Mahtab Alam, DGM (CSR/R&R), NTPC Vindhyachal, and Vijay Kumar, Director of RSETI Singrauli. Both dignitaries felicitated the participants with certificates upon successful completion of the program.
Addressing the gathering, Alam emphasized that computerized accounting skills are key enablers of self-employment and financial independence. He highlighted that skill development is a lifelong asset that not only strengthens individual capabilities but also contributes to the socio-economic upliftment of families and communities.
This initiative reflects NTPC Vindhyachal’s continued commitment to inclusive growth, skill development, and community empowerment, reinforcing its role as a socially responsible PSU driving grassroots transformation.
