Honda India Foundation (HIF) has announced three major Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at advancing inclusive skilling, improving career mobility in the healthcare sector, and nurturing sporting talent among underprivileged youth.
Inclusive Skill Development for Persons with Disabilities
In a significant step towards promoting equal opportunity, HIF launched the Kaushal Vikas Kendra for Persons with Disabilities in Bengaluru in partnership with Sarthak Educational Trust. The centre will focus on empowering Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through structured vocational training, capability building, and career-oriented interventions. The initiative aims to equip trainees with job-ready skills and enable sustainable livelihoods.
Career Progression Program for Healthcare Workers
Reinforcing its commitment to healthcare skilling under its flagship CSR program Project Pragati, HIF has introduced a Career Progression Program for General Duty Assistants (GDAs). The program will support healthcare workers trained under Project Pragati to transition into specialized technical roles through advanced training modules. The initiative includes assured employment opportunities at Amrita Hospital, providing a clear pathway for professional growth in the healthcare ecosystem.
Sports Talent Nurturing Program for Underprivileged Youth
To encourage grassroots sporting excellence, HIF announced the launch of a Sports Talent Nurturing Program in collaboration with Manav Rachna Sports Academy (MRSA), Faridabad. The program aims to identify and nurture young talent from underprivileged communities by offering access to professional coaching, scientific training, and competitive exposure in Badminton and Table Tennis.
Together, these initiatives reflect Honda India Foundation’s focused approach toward inclusive development, livelihood enhancement, and human potential building across diverse segments of society.
