
Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) marked another milestone in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) journey with the successful convocation ceremony of the third batch of its skill development training programme conducted at the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Raipur.
The programme, organised under BCCL’s CSR initiative, trained 120 youth in total, with 35 trainees from the third batch graduating during the ceremony held today. The objective of the initiative is to empower local youth with industry-relevant technical skills, enhance employability, and promote self-reliance. BCCL’s CSR team joined the event virtually.
All trainees in the third batch hailed from Jharia, Baghmara, Nirsa, Govindpur and other blocks of Dhanbad district. During the course, participants received high-quality technical education, well-structured residential facilities, and comprehensive placement support from CIPET Raipur.
Highlighting the effectiveness of the programme, the graduates were selected for direct company roles at Yazaki India Private Limited, Pune — a leading industrial organisation. The placements underscore the industry relevance and quality of the training imparted.

Expressing gratitude, the trainees thanked BCCL and CIPET Raipur for providing them with an opportunity that they described as a crucial step toward a brighter future. Students shared that the programme not only equipped them with technical skills but also boosted their confidence and provided a clear employment pathway.
Officials from both CIPET and BCCL congratulated the graduates and extended their best wishes for successful careers ahead.
BCCL reiterated its commitment to community empowerment, livelihood enhancement, and sustainable development through focused CSR interventions. The company affirmed that it will continue to integrate local youth into the economic mainstream through inclusive and targeted skill development programmes.
