State-owned energy major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has strengthened its support for the Government of India’s TB Mukt Bharat mission by distributing nutrition kits to 600 tuberculosis (TB) patients in Assam’s Charaideo district under the Ni-Kshay Mitra initiative.
As a proud Ni-Kshay Mitra, ONGC Assam Asset organized the distribution programme to support better health, recovery, and nutritional care for TB patients, contributing to the nationwide effort to eliminate tuberculosis.
The event was attended by Dharmeswar Konwar, MLA of Sonari constituency, Dr. Neha Yadav, IAS, District Commissioner of Charaideo, along with officials from the District Health Department.
The initiative is aimed at addressing the nutritional needs of TB patients, which play a critical role in treatment outcomes and recovery. Through sustained community outreach programmes, ONGC continues to support healthcare and social welfare initiatives in regions where it operates.
The company said such efforts reflect its commitment to community well-being and align with India’s broader goal of achieving a TB-Free India through collaborative action involving government agencies, corporates, and civil society.
