
Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) today inaugurated Swachhta Pakhwada-2026 at its headquarters with enthusiasm and commitment towards promoting cleanliness and public awareness.
The programme was attended by CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Technical/Operations) Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, Director (Planning & Projects) Anup Hanjura, Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar, along with senior officers and employees.
On the occasion, CMD Shri Nilendu Kumar Singh administered the Swachhta Pledge to all officers and employees. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that cleanliness is both a personal and social responsibility and urged everyone to make it an integral part of their daily lives. He appealed to employees and citizens alike to actively contribute towards maintaining cleanliness at workplaces, homes, and surrounding areas.
In line with the spirit of the Swachh Bharat Mission, CCL will organize a series of awareness and cleanliness-related activities across its headquarters and all coalfield areas during Swachhta Pakhwada-2026. The initiative aims to strengthen public awareness about cleanliness and encourage its adoption as a way of life.
A range of activities will be conducted during the fortnight, including:
- Cleanliness awareness campaigns
- Cleaning drives and shramdaan programmes
- Plastic waste management initiatives
- Tree plantation drives
- Special cleanliness campaigns in hospitals and office premises
- Waste segregation and solid waste management activities
- Public awareness programmes in schools and local communities
- Felicitation of sanitation workers
The programme concluded with a collective commitment to actively participate in building a clean, healthy, and developed India.
