<p>In a significant step towards inclusive development, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the District Administration of Chatra to improve housing conditions for Birhor families, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG).</p>



<p>The initiative, undertaken under CCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aims to enhance the overall living standards of marginalized tribal communities.</p>

<li>Location: Dhuna Panchayat, Itkhori block, Chatra district</li>



<li>Total financial support: <strong>₹28,49,700</strong></li>

<p>The MoU was signed by <strong>Sanjeev Kumar</strong>, General Manager, Amrapali Chandragupta Area, on behalf of CCL, and <strong>Manoj Toppo</strong>, District Mining Officer-cum-Nodal Officer (CSR), representing the district administration.</p>

<p>In a significant push towards skill development and youth empowerment, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) successfully concluded its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) skill development programme in collaboration with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering &amp; Technology (CIPET), Ranchi.</p>



<p>A certificate distribution ceremony was held today to mark the successful completion of the fifth batch of trainees under the programme, bringing the entire initiative to a successful close.</p>



<p>The programme, conducted under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CCL and CIPET, aimed to provide structured, industry-relevant training to local youth and enhance their employability. A total of 180 युवाओं were targeted under the initiative. With the completion of the fifth batch, all planned training batches have now been successfully executed.</p>



<p>Under the free four-month training programme, 35 trainees were trained in the <strong>Machine Operator – Injection Moulding (MO-IM)</strong> trade. Demonstrating the programme’s strong industry linkage, <strong>31 trainees have already secured placement opportunities</strong> in reputed plastics manufacturing companies.</p>



<p>The event was graced by <strong>Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (HR), CCL</strong>, as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by <strong>S. S. Lal, General Manager (CSR/SD)</strong> and <strong>Shweta, Manager (CSR/SD), CCL</strong>.</p>



<p>From CIPET, <strong>Avneet Kumar Joshi, Mohammad Masoom Haider, and Shah Nawaz Ahmad</strong>, along with faculty members and trainees, were present at the ceremony.</p>



<p>During the training, participants received both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical exposure to modern industrial techniques, particularly in plastics processing and injection moulding, making them industry-ready.</p>



<p>Addressing the gathering, Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra congratulated the trainees and praised their discipline and commitment. He emphasized that skill development of local youth remains a key priority under CCL’s CSR initiatives. He added that such programmes play a crucial role in enhancing employability, improving livelihoods, and contributing to regional industrial growth and nation-building.</p>

<p>The Arpita Mahila Mandal of <strong>Central Coalfields Limited (CCL)</strong> celebrated <strong>International Women&#8217;s Day</strong> with great enthusiasm and active participation under the guidance of its President, Mrs. Preeti Singh. The event featured a series of creative competitions and a special felicitation ceremony to honour women employees for their dedication and contribution.</p>



<p>The celebration began with an <strong>Inter-Area Rangoli Competition</strong>, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from all 15 areas of CCL, along with female employees from the headquarters. The colourful and captivating rangoli designs reflected creativity, cultural vibrancy, and the spirit of women’s empowerment, adding a festive atmosphere to the event.</p>



<p>To further enhance the excitement, a <strong>Fruit, Vegetable and Dry Fruit Jewellery Competition</strong> was also organised. Members of the Arpita Mahila Mandal participated with great enthusiasm, presenting unique and innovative jewellery designs crafted from fruits, vegetables, and dry fruits. The competition highlighted the artistic skills and creativity of the participants.</p>



<p>On the occasion, the Arpita Mahila Mandal also honoured women employees working in <strong>Jawahar Nagar Colony, Darbhanga House, and Gandhi Nagar Hospital and Colony</strong>. During the felicitation ceremony, the women employees were recognised for their dedication and hard work and were presented with umbrellas, towels, steel tiffin boxes, and tiaras as tokens of appreciation.</p>



<p>Through this initiative, the Mahila Mandal expressed gratitude for the invaluable contribution made by women employees in the organisation.</p>

<p>Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organized a <strong>free mega health check-up camp</strong> through its Jan Arogya Kendra at Gandhinagar in <strong>Bhitha Basti, Ranchi</strong>, on Thursday, March 12, 2026. The initiative was aimed at providing accessible healthcare services to residents of the area.</p>



<p>During the camp, <strong>141 people underwent medical examinations</strong> and received <strong>free consultation from specialist doctors</strong>. Various health tests were conducted free of cost, including <strong>hemoglobin, blood sugar, and hypertension screening</strong>, along with diagnosis for other common ailments. <strong>Free medicines were also distributed</strong> to all patients who attended the camp.</p>



<p>The camp was organized under the supervision of <strong>Dr Bharat Singh, CMO In-charge, Gandhinagar</strong>, along with <strong>Dr Preeti Tikka, CMO and CSR In-charge</strong>. The medical team included <strong>Dr Anita Horo, Dr Rajni Kujur, Dr Swati, Dr Shilpi Jha, Dr Saim</strong>, and <strong>Munna Kumar Singh</strong>, supported by dedicated paramedical staff who played a crucial role in the successful execution of the camp.</p>



<p>Local residents <strong>appreciated the public welfare initiative</strong> undertaken by CCL and expressed hope that <strong>more such health camps would be organized in the future</strong> to benefit underserved communities.</p>

Patients suffering from heart-related ailments will receive expert medical advice, evaluation, and guidance during the camp.</p>



<p>All heart patients are encouraged to attend and avail themselves of the free services. Participants have been advised to carry their previous medical reports and diagnostic test papers, if available, to enable accurate assessment and consultation.</p>

<p>Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), through its Jan Arogya Kendra Public Health Centre, successfully organised a <strong>free mega health check-up camp</strong> at Adarsh Vriddha Ashram, Piska Nagri, Ranchi, on Thursday.</p>



<p>A total of <strong>76 beneficiaries</strong> were examined free of cost by specialist doctors and provided with necessary medical consultation and advice.</p>



<p>During the camp, comprehensive health screenings were conducted, including tests for <strong>haemoglobin levels, blood sugar, hypertension</strong>, and other common as well as serious ailments. Following medical evaluation, all patients were also supplied with <strong>essential medicines free of charge</strong>.</p>



<p>The camp was conducted under the supervision of <strong>Dr Preeti Tikka (CMO &amp; CSR In-charge)</strong>, with active participation from <strong>Dr Anita Horo, Dr Ashima Tikka, Dr Shikha, Dr Swati, Dr Shilpi Jha, Dr Megha</strong>, along with <strong>Mr Munna Kumar Singh, Mr Kamlesh Pandit</strong>, and the entire paramedical team, whose collective efforts ensured the smooth execution of the programme.</p>

<p>Under the leadership of Arpita Mahila Mandal President Mrs. Preeti Singh, a sewing machine training programme conducted across various Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) operational areas concluded successfully this year. Following a post-training assessment, 21 women cleared the examination and were awarded certificates. Sewing machines along with complete tailoring kits were also distributed to the successful participants, enabling them to begin income-generating activities.</p>



<p>The initiative was implemented in coordination with CCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department and Srijan Sanstha, with the objective of equipping women with vocational skills and creating sustainable self-employment opportunities.</p>



<p>Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Preeti Singh said the Mandal remains committed to ensuring continued support for the beneficiaries. She assured that trained women would be provided further employment opportunities and regular mentoring to help them achieve financial independence and build sustainable livelihoods.</p>



<p>Arpita Mahila Mandal has been actively engaged in social welfare initiatives focused on women, children and senior citizens. Members of the Mandal participate in community development activities through personal resources and voluntary contributions, working consistently towards social empowerment.</p>

<p>A free cataract screening and lens implantation health check-up camp was successfully organised on January 22, 2026, at Jan Arogya Kendra, Gandhinagar, under the aegis of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL).</p>



<p>The camp witnessed an encouraging response, with 127 people undergoing free medical examinations. Out of these, 30 patients were diagnosed with cataracts and have been assured free surgical treatment at Gandhinagar Hospital. In addition, other beneficiaries were provided with necessary medicines, while free haemoglobin, blood sugar, and hypertension tests were also conducted during the camp.</p>



<p>The successful organisation of the camp was made possible through the dedicated efforts of doctors and healthcare staff, including Dr. Rajkumar (CMS, CCL), Dr. Bharat Singh (CMO, Gandhinagar Incharge), Dr. Preeti Tigga (CMO, CSR Incharge), Dr. Anita Horo, Dr. Rajni Kujur, Dr. Ambrish, Dr. Asima Tigga, Dr. Neetu Singh, Dr. Priyanka, Dr. Letgaugi Munna Kumar Singh, along with the entire paramedical team.</p>
