NTPC Initiative Brings Job Opportunities To Rural Youth, Ignites New Hope

When job offer letters were handed over, the faces of the young beneficiaries lit up

In a remarkable stride under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, NTPC Unchahar brought joy and renewed hope to the rural youth of nearby villages by facilitating employment opportunities. When job offer letters were handed over, the faces of the young beneficiaries lit up with happiness and heartfelt gratitude for NTPC’s life-changing support.

As part of the initiative, 30 young men and women from villages surrounding the NTPC Unchahar project were provided with a six-month skill development training in Plastic Processing through the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET). Post training, the candidates were successfully placed in reputed companies across India, opening doors to stable employment and self-reliance.

To honor the success of this initiative, a felicitation ceremony was organized at NTPC Unchahar, where the beneficiaries received their offer letters and training certificates from Executive Director Abhay Kumar Srivastava and President of Priyadarshini Ladies Club, Anupama Srivastava, in the esteemed presence of General Managers, Department Heads, Union and Association Leaders, and local village heads.

Speaking on the occasion, Abhay Kumar Srivastava extended his best wishes to the newly employed youth and encouraged them to contribute wholeheartedly to their respective organizations, thereby bringing pride to themselves and NTPC alike.

K.P. Singh, Head of the Skill Development Division at CIPET, shared inspiring insights into the training program and highly praised NTPC for its committed efforts toward rural employment generation.

Village heads and employee representatives also addressed the gathering and extended their best wishes to the beneficiaries for a successful and self-sufficient future.

The event was coordinated by Senior Manager (CSR) Sneha Tripathi, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Deputy General Manager Vinayak Prakash Shaw.

This initiative reflects NTPC’s unwavering commitment to social upliftment and sustainable development in the communities around its projects.
