BCCL: Diksha Mahila Mandal Distributes Blankets Among Needy Under CSR Initiative

Warm clothes, sweets and blankets distributed to 60 underprivileged beneficiaries in Dhanbad amid cold wave

As part of Bharat Coking Coal Limited’s (BCCL) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Diksha Mahila Mandal, BCCL, today organized a blanket distribution drive for the economically backward and underprivileged sections of society in Dhanbad.

Under the programme, members of Diksha Mahila Mandal distributed blankets, warm clothes and sweets to poor, disabled and differently-abled persons at key locations including Dhanbad Railway Station, Randhir Verma Chowk and Purana Bazaar, providing much-needed relief amid the prevailing cold wave in the district. A total of 60 beneficiaries from various backgrounds were covered during the drive.

The programme was led by Mrs. Archana Agarwal, President, Diksha Mahila Mandal, along with Mrs. Purbita Ramaiya, Vice President, Mrs. Ranjana Singh, and other respected members of the Mandal. The members personally interacted with the beneficiaries, understood their needs and distributed essential items.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Archana Agarwal said that Diksha Mahila Mandal has always remained sensitive to the needs of the weaker sections of society.

“During the cold season, it becomes our collective responsibility to extend support to those who are deprived in one way or another. Serving society is the true essence of humanity, and Diksha Mahila Mandal is continuously working in this direction,” she said.

On the occasion, the members of Diksha Mahila Mandal reiterated their commitment to continue organizing various social welfare and public service programmes in the future for the upliftment of deprived sections of society.
