NTPC Limited’s Vindhyachal unit reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots sports development by sponsoring the 22nd Singrauli District Athletics Meet, organized by the District Athletic Association of Singrauli.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from 390 athletes representing 22 schools, competing across 85 track and field events, including running, jumping, and throwing disciplines. Competitions were held across four categories—Under 14, Under 16, Under 18, and Under 20—providing a comprehensive platform for young talent.
Senior officials including Shri Sanjib Kumar Saha, CGM (Vindhyachal), Smt. Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR, and Shri Pranav Verma, AGM (HR) graced the occasion. They encouraged participants and lauded the organizers for fostering a competitive sporting environment. Their presence highlighted NTPC Vindhyachal’s continued focus on youth development and community engagement through CSR initiatives.
The annual athletics meet serves as a vital launchpad for budding athletes. Winners will go on to represent Singrauli at the Madhya Pradesh State Athletics Meet in Jabalpur (August 2026), with further opportunities at the National Inter-District Junior Athletics Meet.
