Bank of Baroda Contributes ₹2 Crore to Armed Forces Flag Day Fund for Education of Martyrs’ Children

This CSR initiative is to support educational scholarships for 834 children of ex-servicemen, martyrs, and their widows

Bank of Baroda has contributed ₹2,00,16,000 (Rupees Two Crore Sixteen Thousand Only) to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF), under the aegis of the Kendriya Sainik Board, Ministry of Defence.

The contribution has been made as part of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to support educational scholarships for 834 children of ex-servicemen, martyrs, and their widows.

The cheque was formally handed over by Beena Vaheed, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, to D. S. Basera, VSM, Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board. The ceremony was attended by M. V. S. Sudhakar, General Manager & Zonal Head, New Delhi Zone, Bank of Baroda.

Reaffirming its commitment to the armed forces community, Bank of Baroda stated that the initiative reflects its deep respect for the sacrifices made by the nation’s soldiers. The Bank emphasized its continued focus on empowering families of ex-servicemen and martyrs through education-driven support.

Through such contributions, Bank of Baroda continues to strengthen its position as a socially responsible institution, ensuring that children of defence personnel are provided with opportunities for a secure and brighter future.
